Learning Supports & Programs

Supporting the Success of All Children

Each of our students is safe, known and valued. And that starts with providing a learning community that supports the education and success of all students — regardless of race ethnicity, religion, language, sexual orientation or disability.

Students who are low income, homeless, migrant or bilingual have opportunities for an equal and adequate education through a number of federal and state programs. These opportunities include our Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) and our K-8 Dual Language program, which serves as a model for many other districts around the state.

TITLE I AND LAP SCHOOLS

KSD’s Title I and Learning Assistance Program (LAP) eligible schools receive additional state and federal funding to support students who need extra academic assistance.

Schools with the Title I designation get federal funding to provide customized educational opportunities to K-12 students who struggle to meet academic standards. LAP schools receive state funding to support students with reading, writing and math, or high school graduation assistance.
